...me to discuss the issues arising from this website or provide me with better data
The Economical Environmentalist was published by Earthscan in October 2009. I'd be happy to come and speak to groups that are trying to reduce their emissions.
In the book you will read about how I will have cut my carbon pollution by a third through changes I made (or have started to make). And it wasn't even all that hard once you understand which of your actions give rise to carbon pollution.
If you wish to debate some of the issues on reducing carbon pollution and behaviour change you can catch me on Carbon Answers http://climateanswers.info/tag/carbon/.
If you want to get in touch with me about the data used to construct the model on this website please get in touch through the form below. Many of the data used on this website are hotly contested or under-researched, If you have better information share it with me and I'll improve it at the next update.
I live in North London. My day job is as the Chief Economist at Consumer Focus which is the public body in the UK responsible for championing consumer interests, especially those of vulnerable consumers. I have worked as an economist and policy maker since 1990. Highlights have included developing the green national accounts for the Office for National Statistics, doing more cost-benefit analysis than can be healthy for me, developing polices to decarbonise the emissions from generating heat in the UK economy, devising cunning off-balance sheet loans to help households finance investment in energy efficiency without giving HM Treasury a coronary and a myriad of stuff during my two years at Prime Minister's Strategy Unit that would make Armando Iannucci blush.
